So… you struggle to start a task. Not because you’re lazy, but because you want to do it properly, and that somehow turns starting into a wall of mental load. Then once you finally begin, the opposite kicks in. You lose track of time and pour hours into one thing while a hundred other to-dos sit waiting.
If you’re anything like this, you’re not alone, and Pomodoro technique could help. A timer gets you past the procrastination and into the task, and working in sessions makes a day feel plannable.
But at the end of it, all you have is a column of ticked boxes, a thin record of eight hours. For a lot of us, that goes unnoticed by the next day.
So that’s why we built Catodoro. It came out of wanting our own progress to be something we could actually see and love (cute cats). Set the cat you’re working towards, finish a session, and it drops into your workspace and stays. They build up over days until the screen becomes the record.
Since then, we’ve grown Catodoro with a calendar and stats view, with more on the way. However you use it, we hope the screen fills up.
This one’s for our cats, Sweetie and Maximus.
