Do I need an account?
No. Catodoro is fully usable signed out. If you sign in later with Google, everything you did anonymously — cats, tasks, notes — migrates to your account on the way in.
What happens if I close the tab mid-session?
Nothing is lost. The timer stores an absolute deadline rather than ticking down, so refreshes, sleeping laptops and throttled background tabs can’t eat your time.
Do I get to pick which cat I earn?
Yes. Every task carries the cat you’re working towards — choose it when you write the task, and that’s the one that drops in when the session lands.
How do I get new cats?
The gacha. Once a day you get a turn of the crank for one of the twelve you don’t own yet, and from then on it’s yours to assign to any task.
Do the cats really have physics?
Yes — real rigid bodies. The colliders are generated from the live interface, so cats land on the timer and pile against your task list. You can drag them, throw them, and rescue the ones that make it off screen.
Can I use it outside the tab?
Two ways. The timer pops out into its own Picture-in-Picture window and stays in sync, and there’s a browser extension so the timer and the meows follow you across whatever you’re working in.
Is my data safe?
Your data is yours. Signed-out work stays on your device by design, and signed-in data is protected with row-level security on every table.
What does it cost?
Nothing to start — open it and go, no account, no card.
